Sync Across Your Devices
Saved in this browser.
Let's say you add a 1:1 with Tara Johnson on your phone. When you open People Work on your computer, you want it to be there too.
People Work encrypts that change before it leaves your phone. Our servers pass along the encrypted change, and your computer decrypts it and adds the action to its own copy of your workspace.
Each change is encrypted for your ring. Your devices can exchange individual encrypted changes through our servers instead of sending the whole workspace every time.
Working Offline
If you're offline, you can keep working with the workspace already on your device. Add a note after a conversation, change a follow-up date, or review your relationships. Your changes sync when connectivity comes back.
Merging Changes
We take care to save only the fields you change. Let's say you move a follow-up to Friday on your phone, then rename it on your offline computer. When the devices sync, both changes come together: the follow-up has its new name and is scheduled for Friday.
People Work stores your workspace as an Automerge document, which makes this merging possible. For example, if you choose two different dates for the same follow-up on two devices before they sync, Automerge selects one value consistently, so both devices agree after syncing.
