This release improves usability, performance, and the agent experience. It includes breaking changes to our API, so all users must upgrade immediately.

Usability Improvements

  • Improved app start up time
  • Simplified email-first authentication (breaking change)
  • Simpler workspace setup workflow, reusing your user information
  • All forms default focus to the first field
  • Menus now work when you Merge All Windows for multiple workspaces into tabs
  • Better documentation

Workflow Improvements

  • Delete contacts (editor’s note: Annie asked Michael to do this on day 1)
  • Simplified adding a contact
  • You can capture any event or commitment, for any group, contact, or yourself, from any screen with the Quick Journal function.
  • Easily reschedule all tasks, including the orient and plan tasks, which were always due today. This will help people onboarding to schedule their onboarding over a week or two instead of being overwhelmed with everything needing to be today.

Improved Agents Support

  • We improved the instructions to the agent, so that the agent will be better prepared to journal for you if that’s the first thing you do.
  • Support for additional agents (Gemini, Codex, Open Code)
  • Support for additional linux distros: Ubuntu (deb) and Fedora/RHEL (rpm)
  • Included guardrails on the amount of data agents can journal, to keep them on track with the app’s intent and avoid performance issues for extreme cases.

We implemented a People Work CLI so that you can use People Work with AI agents. See the docs for details.
