People Work is built on establishing and improving the context for yourself, your contacts, and your groups. Context is a short note about what you're trying to accomplish. It helps you (and your AI agent) remember what matters.

Your Context

For your own context, we recommend a short summary of where you are and where you are going with your career or business. Start by answering:

  • Where are you now?
  • What's getting in your way?
  • Where do you hope to be in the next few years?

Including struggles here is especially valuable, and this is what makes the privacy of this app so essential. As you include a full, genuine picture of yourself, you'll begin to see opportunities for connection with others that can help you meet your goals. If you use AI, your agent can use the same context to offer ideas and guidance.

Contact Context

Use a contact's context to answer:

  • Why does this relationship matter?
  • What are you hoping for from it?
  • What would help you show up thoughtfully?

That last answer might be a professional topic you're both interested in or that the person's child plays basketball, especially if basketball is a shared interest.

Whatever you put here gives you and your agent the context to set a direction for an interaction and later evaluate whether you were being honest with yourself. Sometimes you'll feel that some contacts aren't who you thought they were. That's good too! In these situations, the app is helping you be more intentional about the people you find mutual support with.

Group Context

As you begin to curate your groups, their context turns them into a strategy that supports your overall goals. For example, I created a Partner group for entrepreneurs who shared my vision, whom I could support, and who could support me. Its context helped my agent evaluate whether my interactions matched that goal and whether each contact belonged in the group. This got me focused.

Start Early and Update Often

With a simple context in place, you and your agent can get on the same page about where you're going and how your contacts and groups fit into it. As you go forward, keep updating the context as you learn more. Start early and update often. You'll love what you discover.
