We're Annie and Michael Hedgpeth, a married team who quit our jobs in 2024 to build the tool we wished we'd had throughout our careers.
Annie's path ran from casting director to cloud engineer to CEO. Michael went from engineering leadership at scale to building the platform from scratch in Rust. Both paths taught us the same lesson: the people who thrive at work are the ones who are intentional about their relationships.
We started People Work in Boulder, Colorado. We believe the AI transformation gives humans an even more human role in the future of work. And we think everyone deserves a system to step into that role.
