People Work uses AI to help you make meaningful connections, never to replace those connections or your own judgment. The goal is to make the right thing easier to do while strengthening your relational intelligence rather than outsourcing it.
People Work runs a local Model Context Protocol server that lets compatible AI tools work with your workspace under your direction. You decide when to connect a tool and what information to ask it to use. This can help you:
- Identify patterns in the notes and sentiments you've recorded - like pointing out that your connections with Pradeep have been consistently positive, worth noting for future collaborations
- Remember important details - like that Sarah needs help communicating her project to stakeholders in order to achieve her goals
- Prepare for performance conversations - like being able to remember what they worked on in Q1 and how you felt about it, avoiding recency bias. When AI assists with things like performance reviews, we will always have a human be the last to review and refine it.
What We Don't Do
There are a lot of HR tech solutions that believe in using AI for hiring solutions, employee surveillance, or sentiment monitoring, but not us. We believe that the best business outcomes will come from your ability to work well with others.
Privacy
Your People Work workspace is encrypted on your approved devices. If you subscribe to sync, encrypted workspace versions and assets pass through our service, but we do not have the private keys needed to read them.
The local MCP server does not make an AI provider local or private. A connected AI tool may receive the workspace information you authorize People Work to return. How that provider handles the information depends on its settings and privacy policy, so review those terms before connecting it.
Trust
We honor employee privacy, helping users to build stronger professional connections through better intentionality and follow-through, not surveillance. People Work uses the information that you share about your connections and interactions, keeping everything within your scope of influence and control.
