With your daily and weekly practices set up in People Work, you'll find a new level of clarity and engagement with your professional network and start to see the magic of intentionality and showing up for people. To round out your relationship with yourself, create a recurring Quarterly Reflection event with yourself in People Work and add it to your calendar.

Without this event, you might spend months following a strategy, making progress, and getting results. This reflection helps you take a step back from the day-to-day and ask yourself, "Are these the results I want?"

During your quarterly reflection, ask yourself:

  1. Is my context still accurate? Does it reflect my goals? Have I found new things I'm struggling with or excited about? Do I have more clarity on what my goals should be?
  2. Are the four groups in service of that context? How could I make them clearer? Outside of Network, do I have three groups that each serve a valuable role in my goals? Can I identify no more than eight people in each group whom I'm excited to show up for?
  3. Are the people in the right groups? Is there anyone I should add to People Work?

This gives you a regular strategic view so you don't get stuck doing "the right thing" when you've accidentally forgotten that "the right thing" is no longer what you want. One of our users spent months losing momentum and motivation because the groups they put their people into weren't serving their goals. They hadn't stopped to ask themselves what their true goals were.

One good rule of thumb: if it gives you energy, if it makes you excited, if you can't wait to go do it, that's your context. If it drags you down, stresses you out, causes you anxiety, or you just flat-out want to avoid it, that's the wrong goal. Stop and ask yourself if it's really what you want to be doing or what you think you should be doing.

Remember, no one is looking at this except for you. Don't go after what you should be doing. Go after what you have the energy to do. When you're in that space, you'll achieve extraordinary results.

Let's do my quarterly reflection in @People Work. Help me make sure what I'm doing still reflects what I actually want. Guide me through these steps one at a time:

  1. Review my context. Ask whether it still reflects my goals, what I've been struggling with, what I'm excited about, and whether I'm clearer about what I want.
  2. Review my four groups and whether they are in service of my context. Outside of Network, help me define three groups that each serve a valuable role in my goals and contain up to eight people whom I'm excited to show up for.
  3. Review the people in each group. Help me decide whether anyone belongs in a different group and whether anyone is missing and should be added to People Work.

Treat this as a strategic reflection. Help me question the plan itself, not just catch up on tasks. Ask me one question at a time and ask before making any changes.
