Use People Work with LinkedIn
Saved in this browser.
In the golden days of LinkedIn, apps could connect to it automatically. Then it got greedy and turned that off. It wants to trap you, but you're not going to let it!
So get your data into your Contacts app and People Work, and be free of all that garbage.
Think of your network as your own personal intellectual property (IP). Why should you let someone else own your IP?
But you'll still want to use LinkedIn, and here's how you can do that.
Let us know how you use AI, and we'll add more context:
Choose an AI agent to continue
We’ll show the connection instructions that match your choice.
If you don't use AI, go through your LinkedIn connections. If you've never worked with someone, disconnect from them. If you've worked with them and intend to interact with them, add them to the Network group in People Work. And leave a few in there that you don't want to interact with. Keep LinkedIn as your professional network and People Work as your action engine.
Over time, get the real contact information for people you've worked with into your Contacts app. Don't delegate your connection with people you know to a third-party megacorporation.
Set up your agent's browser access, sign in to LinkedIn yourself, and ask your agent to read your People Work goals and review your connections in the browser. It can identify important people you should add to People Work. It will even help you import their avatars!
This isn't a LinkedIn sync. Your agent is helping you review what you can already see and choose what belongs in People Work.
We still use LinkedIn for our broader professional network, but we don't see it as an engine for the actions and interactions we need to achieve our professional goals. It's a professional social network that sells ads. It's not for you; it's for your attention.
