From the beginning of our wonderful People Work journey, my north star has been to help people have more agency and autonomy in their careers. It’s something I have always strived for in my own life and career and something I often tell my teenage kids, "Do whatever gives you the most options."

I have had a multi-faceted career, starting my journey as a casting director for film and TV, then raising children while interior decorating and writing, only to find myself as a cloud automation engineer which led to software engineering. And all of those experiences have led me to the place I am at now, which is creating a platform that empowers people to have more agency and autonomy in their careers.

As a casting director, I learned the art of getting stuff done. People in film are some of the hardest, grittiest workers, and we just got the job done. As an Azure cloud consultant at 10th Magnitude, entrenched in the DevOps world, I learned to always make the right thing to do the easy thing to do. And on the Terraform Enterprise team at HashiCorp, I learned that teamwork and collaboration are not only essential for success, but it lives inside the actual product as an extension of that team's culture.

We spend such a high percentage of our lives at work, and we only get the one life, so why not do whatever it takes to make that time meaningful and fulfilling? I am committed to helping it be exactly that for you, and I hope that you find that People Work embodies those values.
